There are two definitions regarding the definition of Family pass in the National Parks across Canada. In Banff, Jasper, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks the Family pass definition-covers 2-7 people in one vehicle. Everywhere else the Annual Family Pass only allows 2 adults per vehicle.

National Parks Individual Senior Pass is valid for one senior (65+) and vehicle.

• Individual Senior Pass may be purchased through AMA Travel for the current month only. 
• Either pass is valid for one year from the last day of the month in which the pass is purchased.
• Additional passengers fees may be required and will be collected at the gate upon entrance to the park.
• Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Passes now include entrance to National Historic Sites of Canada Pass.
• In the event that the pass is not available a Voucher may be issued that can be exchanged at the park gates for the appropriate pass.

These passes are available for purchase by the general public at retail price. Passes must be purchased at an AMA office by an AMA member to get the discounted member price.

Usage
An Experience Alberta’s History pass offers free admission to 18 Museums and Historic Sites. Cash free entry- simply show or swipe your card and you will be admitted. This Pass is valid for one year from purchased date. Therefore if a pass is purchased on July 1, 2012, the last day the pass can be utilized is June 30, 2013. Some attractions have a restricted access; you may wish to phone in advance to arrange entry. There is no readmission on the same day, you may return to the attraction on as many days as you wish.
