Veteran's licence plates
To request a veteran's licence plate for your vehicle or motorcycle:
1. Submit your application form to the Alberta-NWT Command of the Royal Canadian Legion.
2. Receive your approved application in the mail.
3. Visit any AMA Registries centre to purchase your veteran's licence plate.
Remember to bring the following with you:
- Approved application form
- Personal identification
- Proof of vehicle ownership, and
- Valid insurance

Fees
| Exchange existing plate for veteran's licence plate* | $22.45 |
| Exchange licence plate for veteran's licence plate and 1 year vehicle registration renewal | $84.45 |
| Exchange motorcycle plate for veteran's licence plate and 1 year registration renewal | $54.45 |
*Fees will be waived for motorcycle plate exchanges that are completed on or before April 30, 2013.
