Replace a lost or stolen driver's licence
If you need to replace a lost, stolen, or destroyed licence, come in person to any AMA centre and speak with a registry agent.
What you need to request a replacement driver’s licence
- Your AMA membership card
- Two pieces of acceptable identification
You will receive an interim drivers licence that will not have a photograph. If you anticipate needing photo ID during this period, we recommend you carry with you some other form of photo ID (e.g. passport).
Your permanent licence will arrive in the mail within 3 weeks of your application date.
