What you need to renew your driver's licence
- Your old driver's licence.
- Your AMA membership card.
- One piece of acceptable identification.
- Renewal form (optional)
A completed medical examination form is required:
- For class 1, 2, or 4 driver's licences.
- If you are 75-years-old or older.
- If you have a medical condition that could interfere with your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
You require proof of Alberta residency and Canadian citizenship or immigration documentation if you are exchanging an out-of-province driver's licence for an Alberta driver's licence
