Course Overview

This course offers hands-on, track-oriented introduction to some of the most common driver response skills necessary to handle typical road emergencies: evasive manoeuvres, threshold braking, and advanced steering techniques.

It can be completed in half a day and only requires a large parking lot or similar venue.

Time Breakdown (1:1 instructor-client ratio)

Hours to complete: 4

Introduction: 30 minutes
A brief introduction generates some course background.

Presentation / Course overview: 1 hour
This session covers topics such as risk and risk management, vehicle and operator fitness and understanding your vehicle's language.

Vehicle inspection; drive to and from the track: 1 hour
Assembly at the vehicle and critical road-worthy inspections.

In-vehicle skills session: 1 hour 30 minutes
Consists of in-vehicle skill training with instructor (serpentine, threshold braking and simple evasive manoeuvres).
