This course addresses the basic principles of driver fatigue and its impact on motorists. Modules can be completed individually or in one study session.

Using interactive media, this three module course teaches participants:

• The impacts, risks, and warning signs of driver fatigue
• How to recognize, understand and manage the effects of fatigue
• The basic principles of fatigue as well as a general understanding of sleep

• How to prevent the onset of fatigue
• What precautions they can take if they must drive fatigued

This course is for experienced drivers who want to be smart and skilled on the roads. You'll get strategies to to be a proactive driver, including learning about the causes and consequences of unsafe driving practices. Plus learn how to:

• Avoid typical hazards
• Manage driver impairments
• Perform defensive vehicle manoeuvres

This course also provides information on risk management, vehicle and environmental hazards, as well as strategies to read the driving environment, giving you the knowledge to be a proactive driver and avoid collisions.
