Changes to your registration such as address or name or any changes to the vehicle need to be done in person at an AMA Registries office.
Did you know?
- Your renewal will be processed within 24 hours.
- New vehicle registration certificate and tabs (validation stickers) for your licence plate will be mailed within 10 business days.
- It can take 2-3 weeks to receive your validation tab. If it is within 2 weeks of your expiry date, you should visit one of our AMA Registries offices to renew your registration to ensure you receive your validation tab on time.
- Private passenger vehicle and motorcycle online registration renewals can be accepted through our website for no more than 2 months past the expiry date of your registration. After that time our system cannot accept the renewal and it will have to be done in person. Note: This does not mean your registration expiry date will be extended.

- Cars
- Light trucks
- Vans
- Motor homes exclusively used for personal transportation on a private, non-commercial basis.
