Winter Driving Courses

Be safe, knowledgeable and confident on the road during the winter months. This course helps you develop and strengthen your skills to identify and react to emergency situations during the winter.

This course* offers:

  • Half-day instruction.
  • Interactive classroom and in-car component.
  • Winter driving safety tips
  • Classroom component includes: visibility, traction, steering, braking and accelerating.
  • In-car component includes moving through traffic in changing winter conditions (bridge decks, hills, freeways), emergency manoeuvres and skid recovery in a track setting.

*Participants must have a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence to participate in the Winter Driving course.
