None for the Road

Make it NONE FOR THE ROAD

AMA reminds you, your friends and family to make sure you plan ahead for your next night out.

Everyone deserves to get home safe.

If you are driving, even one drink is too many.

Watch what happens when we gave the Edmonton Stallions football team 'beer goggles' to simulate impairment while attempting to complete simple football drills. These football players have been playing for years, but while wearing the goggles, they were unable to complete so much as a pass. If these football players can't even perform simple tasks when impaired, how do you think you would be able to drive? This video shows the effects that any amount of alcohol can have on your depth perception, hand-eye-coordination and reaction time to show the similarities to the tasks required to drive. The Alberta Motor Association wants to remind you that impairment starts with your first drink. Choose None for the Road!
