Aging Drivers

Mobility is critical to health and well-being. We want our aging members to stay behind the wheel as long as it’s safe. When it is time to reduce or retire from driving, we believe communities need to offer affordable alternatives to keep seniors active.

Working with committed partners, AMA organizes community roundtables and transportation forums across the province. From our Drivers 65 Plus courses to encouraging volunteer driving, we are focused on solutions that promote independence.

  • Become a Driving Angel. Volunteer to help seniors in your community.
  • Refresh your skills with 55 Plus, Brush-up Lessons or RV courses from AMA Driver Education.

Personal Mobility = Freedom to Live

As our population ages, studies show that seniors who stay active live longer, healthier and happier lives. Maintaining that sense of independence, even after retiring from driving, is critical.
